Tour Highlights:
This is an ecotourism package designed to explore the
rain forest of southern Cameroon and experience the life
style of the Baka Pygmies, who have lived in harmony with
this forest for centuries. |

DAY 1
Early departure from Yaounde
to Yokaduma via Ayos, Abongmbang, Bertoua and Batouri.
Late arrival at Hotel Elephant. Dinner and Overnight stay. |

DAY 2
After breakfast, drive to
Lobeke through Abongmbang. Close to Mambele village, camping
in an exotic natural resort. After some rest, a 2km walk
brings you to the ‘Liponji falls. Later in the evening,
a special performance of the ‘tortoise’ dance
by the pygmies end the night (camping night). |

DAY 3 & 4
45km drive brings you to the
take-off point. 10km from here, under forest canopy, takes
you to the ‘Miriador’; the watch tower.
2 days will be spent in camps and watch towers observing
varieties of fauna in the opening below: elephants, gorillas,
duikers, and hundreds of parrots (African grey).

DAY 5
Walk down to the drop-off
point, where the vehicle takes you back to ‘Kambo’
camp. Here we experience pygmies life on a routine basis
(hunting, ritual dance, medicinal, as well as construction
of traditional pygmies houses). Overnight stay. |

DAY 6
Drive to Yokadouma and then
to Bertoua. Spend the night at Mansa hotel. |

DAY 7
Drive to Yaounde and visit
the city, capital of Cameroon. |

DAY 8
Drive to Douala through Edea.
Last-minute shopping of arts and craft before departure.
End of tour.
